Thanks.

I don't understand what you mean by other software. There are programs
that can attach notes to files. Is that what you are looking for?

I installed it and I have an icon in the system tray on my XP system

How do I make ATnotes work? I can create a yellow now (although I
can't drag and drop it to other places). After I have created it it
never seems to appear again once the appication it was created on is
closed and re-opened.

Can you help me out.

You can find a full install on the site
Here is the link

Thank you!! That will be extremely handy for others, too.

Well, I tried it out but still prefer PowerPro (which does,
unfortunately, need to be configued). None roll-up like PowerPro does
with first line of text in title. At least, none I have tried. Those
that claim to have been cumbersome in comparison.

You know, I'll think I'll take my PowerPro and delete everything but
the stickie notes (I keep regular backups of the config file) and the
post in alt.binaries.freeware. Anyone interested? I know it's not as
handy as having a standalone app and PowerPro needs to be installed,
but nothing has beaten PowerPro yet.

Pls advise.

Well, I went and did it anyway. I figured I could have the new config
file for use at the office.

PowerPro can be found here:
http://www.windowspowerpro.com/xdownload.shtml

Find the 10kb config file (called "pproconf.pcf") in ng
alt.binaries.freeware. Install PowerPro. Go to the installation
folder and find the default "pproconf.pcf" and rename it to whatever
you like; good idea would be "default - pproconf.pcf". Copy my
pproconf.pcf file into this folder.

Also, for those that haven't used PowerPro and have found it hard to
start with it (it all has to be built from scratch, basically), my
config file has some basics that I've built in that make it a good
starting point.

You can expand from there having a basic file to work with. I
certainly found the default one difficult and never figured out many
of the features from that one. But keep a copy of my config file if
you go back to using the original default one.

Good luck! As I mentioned, none of the programs come close, imho, to
PowerPro for the stickie notes.
