Any rumours about an A3 version of the R800?

Back in February, an Epson rep at the Focus show (UK) hinted very
obliquely at a May 2004 release for an A3 version of the R800. Perhaps
he was just kidding, but it has stopped me buying the R800 itself!

Any substantiated rumours out there for the release of an A3 equivalent?

I'd buy Canon, but they seem so quiet on print life, it's worrying.

The Epson people I talked with at their Print Academies indicated the 2200
was going to be around for quite a while.

And that's exactly what it's their duty to say up until the day
that its replacement is announced. Otherwise, sales of the 2200
would decline. Not something a company person would want to
contribute to.

P.S. - That printer has already been around for a while. It's about
two years old, which is "ancient" by current standards, i think. :-)
