I'm updating a friends Dell laptop and his home for wireless, but
money's an issue. so I found a Gigafast WF721-AEX wireless PCMCIA card
on Newegg for $19, but this almost seems too cheap. Does anyone know
anything about this card?

Dunno about that card, but I have a Gigafast switch and it works great.
Really inexpensive ($6 after rebate I think), but rugged design
(metal case) and it's about the size of a deck of cards.

Bought the Trend Micro one because it was cheaper yet, and works as well as
(if not better) than my expensive Linksys ones in more remote areas of the
house. I've never had a problem with Newegg stuff.

I've used Gigafast switches for over a year now without any rouble at all.
All bought through Newegg. I'd bet the pcmcia would be just fine.
