If you have no operating disc how are you going to re-install Windows XP
when you format the hard drive? Once you have formatted the hard drive
you
have lost everything - hence Taurians suggestion to contact the
manufacturer's. You really do need the operating system recovery disc
before
proceeding any further.
Incidentally, have you checked your PC manual to see if it gives
instructions on how to create a recovery disc?

thanks for that but its a bit difficult on a sunday, its easy if you
have
an
operating disc but with it being pre-installed ive no idea, got the
seriel
number and thats it!
