Any GIMP 2 fans ou there?

I just bought a book on GIMP 2 and have installed the software but haven't
started on the demos in the book. Just wondered if there were a lot of
people using it and what they thought about it.

I don't think you will find much of anything about GIMP here.
I used this quite a while ago and it does have a following, but you will
have to get on the GIMP newsgroup etc.

I checked that newsgroup, not much action. I wonder what the primary
software package used by this group since the Digital Image Suite has its
own newsgroup.
