ANY FREEWARE TO ENABLE ME USE MY DVD DRIVE AS VIRTUAL HD

HI GUYS,

is there any freeware to enable me to use my DVD drive as virtual HD eg
enable me to download to DVD drive
drag and drop etc as I do with my normal HDs ...

possible?

I simply want to use DVDs while downloading etc and backup stuff i need
until they are full!!!
