Hi all,

I am looking for something like Windows Terminal Service. Specificaly the
'Application-Mode'. This means that TS will only host a specific application
and only shows that screen.

I know of VNC which is a great program, but it doesn't have this
application-mode. Does anyone know of a free alternative?

Is it a basic Telenet client you want? Such as
<http://sourceforge.net/projects/dtelnet/> (have a look - small
download). Don't know if you can run remote GUI apps with this, but
CLI should work I guess. Never used it my self (long time since I used
Telenet at all - I think not since I had a Unix shell account for
Internet access, years ago).

All the best,

I meant Telnet of course. (my spellchecker did not agree, and I both
depend on it and trust it :)

Well, I have this conspiracy theory of all spellcheckers and translator
sites trying to take over the world, by giving flase errors and very bad
translations. (This in order to confuse humanity so we will not be able to
communicate to eachother and warn about the worldrevolution at hand)

On the other hand, that nice nurse with that bad syringe said it was just
me... Mwuhahahahahah...

Sorry, the only thing I can think of would be X-windows on cygwin. But if
only displaying one application window is what you need
http://www.tightvnc.com/ does that and so does
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ultravnc/ which is the VNC server I use
because it uses the least CPU with its video hooks driver that works with
most of my computers (my Celeron Laptop doesn't like the hook driver
though).
