Can anyone help me out. Over the past couple of weeks the internet
connection we have in the office seems to getting slower. It is my
suspicion that some one probably has some p2p apps that are eating up
network bandwidth.

Can anyone make any suggestions to help me find out why our
connectivity seems to be going so slow. Or recommend any free tools to
monitor the network.

Thanks

You can use Network Monitor (also known as NetMon), which comes with
Windows Server, I believe, or you can try Ethereal
(http://www.ethereal.com/).
