Any Free Backup Programs That Work?

I have HP Pavilion 9680C and run windows 98 Second edition.I tried a couple
of different Back up programs (Free Ones)But they are usually complicated to
understand for me.Are there any easy ones that can copy all of windows
without coming up with errors like cannot copy WIN386.SWP,ect. Thanks in
advance

Win386.swp is a swap file, all it is used for is to speed things
up....the first time you run windows after a restore, a new one
will be created.....so there is no reason to copy it when doing
a backup....

Windows has a backup component.
