Yahoo Mail yas a nice feature: [Block HTML graphics in
email messages from being downloaded]. I use this feature
all the time to avoide spam that checks to see if my email
account is active or not. I don't open spam emails, but I
use this feature just in case I opened messages by error.

I'm wondering if there's a similar feature in Outlook? I
use Outlook 2002.

Thanks.

tools/options then select "Attachment Security & Options tab". Check
"Read all mail as plain text".
That should do it.

This feature isn't in Outlook 2002 but is available in Outlook 2003. Outlook
2003 also has a build in spamfilter and blocks atachments that could contain
virusses (jus like Outlook 2002).

The feature you are describing is a result of an add-in, Attachment Options
offered by MVP Ken Slovak. It is not a native part of Outlook.
