does it overclock as well as the 2.6c and 2.4c ???

would you recommend this as a gaming cpu? (to go with a radeon x800xt

I have a 2.8, 800FSB, running quite happy at 3.32Gig on Asus P4C800 Delux
board, have to use coolermaster fan to keep it cool though, idle temp is
around the 38oC mark, full load never goes above 47oC.

Hope this Helps.

First, the cpu performance is less important (although at this level) than
the graphics card performance.
My P4 2.8 GHz is running at 3.22 Ghz, just by overclocking the FSB from 200
to 230 MHz. I use Corsair PC3700 running at 1:1. Motherboard is an Asus
P4P800. Up to now (about 6 months old) the system never crashed. CPU temps
(with room temp 22°C) are 30°C idle and 38°C while rendering video files
during 20 minutes. I mounted a Thermaltake Spark 7 cooler, which is very
efficient, but noisy.
The graphics card is a Sapphire 9800 Pro, which I preferred rather than the
XT because of the lower price, lower working temp and similar practical
performance (I know benchmarks of the XT are better, but how does that
affect real life performance???).
