low-priced.

I'd simply say that he's off topic. This group is supposed to be for
the discussion of freeware, not "cheap" software.

He wasn't discussing the software, he was discussing the owners/their
site, ethics, etc.

It's no worse than people coming here and asking for "help desk" info.
to fix a problem they're having with their computer, and yet I don't
see you complaining about that.

He was pointing out a commercial OEM software site and soliciting
opinions.

Theresa, generally speaking my objections to being off topic are
limited to messages discussing software that isn't freeware. As for
the help desk info type messages, there are others in this group
(Boomer et. al.) who deal with those type messages and I see no need
to duplicate effort. Hope this explains things.
