Any disk tools for disk image files?

I run Virtual PC 5.0 under Mac OSX 10.2.8. My virtual machine had
been throwing errors at me -- a 1E STOP CODE on vpc_s3.dll -- for a
while and yesterday it totally collapsed with a Kernel Stack Inpage
error.

Now the VPC won't start - inaccessible boot device, and recovery
console doesn't even try to load.

I suspect a corrupt disk image file, not (just) a corrup hd, since copies
of the file show same behavior.

Are there any tools to inspect and correct a corrupt disk image?

Try microsoft.public.mac.virtualpc newsgroup on this news server.

Not being nasty but you are more likely to get help there than in here.
 
Just a guess but I would assume that since you are running a MAC the MAC OS
would have the disk repair tools. Since your Virtual PC emulation does not
work it is a MAC OS problem and not a Windows XP problem (which runs on a PC
not a MAC).
