I've been looking for a replacement for LeechFTP since it hasn't been
supported in quite a while and has a couple of little quirks. BlazeFTP looks
pretty good and seems to be a nice, compact download. Anybody here using it
that would like to share an opinion/comparison?

BlazeFtp v2.1

Been using it for a little while. I like it. It's fast, and has a
straightforward interface. Seems stable, too. Much nicer than WS-FTP LE,
which I was using.

I went from (the pay....ahem) FlashFXP to the freeware SmartFTP. When
that went nagware a couple of months ago, I switched to BlazeFTP and have
had no problems with it. I use the FXP capability, and also the CHMOD is
pretty useful. There's less in the way of graphs and stuff, but I just
want to up/download files with it. It could do with a command-line
option (if there is one, I haven't found it), but I've found it to be
pretty stable so far. I like it.

Thanks, guys. I'll download and give it a whirl.

I recently looked for Blaze FTP and found it was marked as shareware.
Correct me if I'm mistaken.

You're right, but a little out of date. BlazeFTP became freeware @ version
2, fairly recently. Just in time, actually, because SmartFTP became
nagware at about the same time.

Some you lose some you win. I'll give it a try.
