I was considering purchasing the ANTS Profiler package from red-gate.
Any thoughts/comments on this software?
 
Completely personal opinion - love it worth every penny

They do offer a eval version for 2 weeks I recommend try that first.

I use it from time to time, and it works, it does what it should do
and nothing more and nothing less. One great thing it can do is that
you start profiling at any time, so if you have a slow piece of code
which takes 10 minutes to get there, you can profile just that piece of
code, which is really great.

Viewing of the profiled data is also very good, you can easily browse
back/forth in the profiled data.
