I've been looking for an antivirus program for my workstations and my file
server. Unfortunately, what I'm finding it very expensive or doesn't do what
I need.

Can someone suggest a decent antivirus program that:

- Will run on Windows 2003, Windows XP an Windows Vista
- Can be set to only RENAME a file when it is found to be infected
- Relatively inexpensive.

I've looked at FPROT and BitDefender and they seem good, but they won't
rename infected files.

Thanks!

This is an ODD requirement.

Please explain why you only want to rename the files deemed infected.

This is running on a headless file server shared by my wife and I.

If a file is infected, I don't want it damaged/altered by an attempt to
clean it. I also want it to remain in it's current location instead of being
moved to quarantine. Adding ".vir" to the filename will render it
"unrunnable".

Occasionally I'll scan the drive for any filenames ending in ".vir" and deal
with them on a one by one basis.
