I run Norton Antivirus on my XP system. However, the new
service pack is not detecting it. Is there a reason why
it doesn't find it? Is it because it is not a Microsoft
product?

Thanks

Use Live Update to get latest product updates.
Before you do this
select Start
Run
type Regsvr32 wintrust.dll
click okay this will register the service.

I got the same problem. I did a system restore and untill
MS works out the bugs in its' latest and greatest "fix"
I'll do without it!

Why don't you blame Symantec instead.

Simply run Liveupdate (part of Norton antivirus) and it will download the
VMI update you need (assuming you are running 2004. Earlier versions
require downloading the VMI update manually)

Why blame Symantec? Are you so stuoid that you don't know that the update
has been available from Symantec since the day SP2 was released? Of course
not...I forgot...your'e too stupid.

I detest people who shoot off their mouths when they are wrong and don't
know what they are talking about.

Why don't you go troll somewhere else.

Not all Norton/Symantec Anti Virus have updates available. I'm running
Symantec AV 8 and the update has been delayed. It was originally scheduled
for for Sept 1. Now it's been pushed to December 7. Others running Norton
AV 7.6 are not getting update till January 31. . And thanks for the kind
remarks.
