My neighbors picked up Antivirus Master infection in last month or so.
I first did a Spyware Terminator scan with updated db: it didn't seem to
find anything. So, I tried Malwarebytes , updated files, and ran. It found
over 100 items. Deleted the malware items, rebooted and popups ceased. Only
strange thing was that my page with perl cgi script [guessing cause]
crashes IE6. OK with other pages. Page ok with other pcs. Also, cannot
connect to yahoo servers on that pc. Puzzled. Why did ST not see the
things that MBAM did?

you have tried them both?
how am I supposed to test superantispyware?
wait till I find another infected pc?
ST did find things on that same pc the first time I used it.

Inferior application?
Suggest to remove ST and replace with something more substantial like:
SuperAntispyware - Free

Do you think Superantispyware would work better than AntiMalware Bytes?

Also, the pc is used by 6 to 8 different people , which are all pc novices
FYI. I will have to train in Safe Hex.

No, it works better than SpywareTerminator.

Then use both SuperAntiSpyware Free (SAS)
and Malwarebytes' AntiMalware (MBAM)
(and you can also scan with SpywareTerminator as third.)

A PC should have not more than one AV program online.
A PC should have not more than one firewall.

Your PC should be regularly scanned with several(!) anti-spyware/adware
programs, at least two but preferably more.

I think that both applications have their place and are doing a wonderful
job; One may catch what another may miss.

Irrelevant! An info I (and anybody else for that matter) don't require!

How you manage your affairs is your busines! (But it looks like you get the
message).

So glad you understood my questions. Thanks for your help.
