My McAfee Total Protection license for antivirus and antispyware doesn't
expire until 2013 yet it says now that it expired on April 26, 2005 - and
the update "feature" doesn't work. I get this message that one or more total
protection windows are still open - yet no windows of any kind are open that
I chose. My user name is (e-mail address removed).

Fifteen minutes later: McAfee Total Protection works perfectly. This problem
occurs when I reboot for ANY reason.

How would I prevent this problem from occurring?

I would go to the McAfee web site and ask this question there but site
doesn't work for non-standard questions.

Thank you,

Check for Malware, it doesn't mean that you have Mcafee that you will not
get infected.
Try a scan from different vendor.
if all clean uninstall and reinstall Mcafee.
