When I try to open and run the program a message comes up
that syas "Thw Wizard was interrupedbefore Microsoft could
could completely be installed.

Your system has not been mofified. to complete
installation at another time, please run set up again.
What does this all mean?
 
Some dll has become corrupted, I would recommend you either uninstall the
product and reinstall or do this:

a.. Open up control panel and double-click on add/remove programs.
Select Microsoft AntiSpyware
Select "Change"
On the Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard, click next.
On the next screen (Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard) select Update
Microsoft AntiSpyware and click next.
Select Install
Let the product update.
Click Finish.

Here's something to try:

Start, run, MSCONFIG <enter>

Check off Diagnostic startup. Hit apply, and restart in diagnostic mode.

If you are using a third party software firewall, please disconnect from the
Internet before restarting--the firewall will not start in this mode.

Log in as an administrator on your machine, and try the install in diagnosic
mode.

If the install succeeds I would recommend updating the definitions and
scanning--if you have an Internet connection (i.e. you are behind a router,
for example.)

If you don't have an Internet connection, restart in normal mode, update the
definitions, then restart in safe mode and scan.

Update definitions via File, check for updates.
