Antispyware

I have installed the Microsoft Antispyware Beta version
and have one problem. When I try to run update (or it
tries to run automatically), I get an error that it
couldn't connect to the internet. This is the only
software that is having the problem. I have uninstalled
it and reinstalled it with no luck. Any suggestions?
 
My suggestion is that you ignore it for a while. Sometimes if you don't
watch it, it'll start working on its own. Strange, but (by observation
anyway)--apparently true. If you still haven't seen an update (current is
5717) by, say, next Wednesday--write back.
 
I was able to get it working by going into Norton and
enabling all on the MS Antispyware images. Thanks
 
Thanks - I'm glad you persisted. I need a longer canned reply to this
question, because I tend to forget to ask about third-party firewalls, as
you've noticed!
