While running antispy download, it disappears and takes
me back to my desktop, closing IE. Anybody else having
this trouble with download. I would appreciate info.

goldie,

The issue may stem from the presence of malware already infesting the
system. Have you scanned with the installed antivirus program or any
other antispyware program lately ?
Suggest downloading a copy of AdAware SE to do an initial scan of the
system : http://castlecops.com/downloads-file-451.html
Here's a tutorial for it :
Using Ad-aware to remove Spyware/Hijackers from Your Computer.

Update the installed AV and do a scan of the system, too.
You can also do online scans at either of these locations :
Trend Micro Housecall
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Panda Active Scan
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/

RAV Free Online Scan
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/

This page has tutorials for utilizing the online scans more effectively:

Get HijackThis.exe from
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe

Save it to C:\hjt (new folder) then Open it and select
Scan and Save Log. Note where you saved the log then
send it to me as an attachment. Put Hijack in the subject
so I'll know it's not spam. Let's see what is blocking
AntiSpy.
