If it really pops up every few seconds, either there's a
glitch in the program or your computer is having a problem!
Have you run a full scan with Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta1
yet? How about with Ad-Aware with its latest definitions
installed? Are you running XP SP2 with the firewall
disabled?
If you're absolutely certain that the messages are
appearing due to a glitch in the program, please post your
findings here. (Then you can open Beta1, click on Real-
time Protection, and click on the various Agents and
Manage their settings. Find the ones that apply to the
messages that keep popping up and disable those
checkpoints. ONLY do this if you're POSITIVE that the
messages are the result of a bug in Beta1.) If you're NOT
absolutely certain that it's a glitch, or in other words
there's a possibility that the messages are legitimate
warnings, then make sure you have a firewall enabled and
scan for and remove any spyware and viruses found on your
computer.
If you're somewhat of a novice, or don't know much about
the Windows registry and such, you should probably use Ad-
Aware and Spybot - Search & Destroy instead of the
Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta. Wait to use the MS product
until after the beta testing process is complete and the
bugs have been worked out. Right now it can do some scary
things to your system if you don't know what you're doing
or if you get too click-happy.
Good luck.
