have installed new version on computer with 3 users
works perfectly on 1 user however will not load on other 2 users with error
message""unexpected error-quitting""
all users have been set up the same

Would I be right in thinking the account it works OK on is the Administrator
Account?
Microsoft Antispaware beta 1 is not coded to operate on multiple or Limited
User accounts at the moment.

Bill Sanderson (MVP) explains in a previous much earlier post as follows:

"You are probably roughly correct about the cause of the error.
This is the state of beta1, at the moment, I'm afraid.
It does not work properly with multiple users, nor with limited users.
This is an issue inherited with the existing codebase which was purchased
via acquisition of a third-party. Beta2 will be written to incorporate a
number of standards--accessability, localization, and more--and this issue
will be taken into account--I don't know how well they'll do, but at least
the rules will be made clear, I think."

Hope this helps for now.

hmmm... this localhost has a total of 9 superuser and two 2 administrator
accounts (sick, hugh?) all of which are extremely active with every type of
legal online activity you can imagine. User ages range from 13 - 57 years.

Microsoft's Antispyware (MSAS) has been working from all the accounts since
it was originally installed last spring. Updates have worked as well as they
have for the MSAS community at large, and considering MSAS's category of
software, it is one of the best Beta products microsoft has released in some
time.

So I am somewhat surprised to read that MSAS has not been configured to
support multi-users. Our users run MSAS prior to logging off, and it has been
very effective in chasing the spyware off the machine. MSAS is running
concurrently with F-Secure Anti-virus 2006, and I have begun cleaning the
registry in recent weeks with CCleaner. These products are working well
tegether.

Thanks for your reply
All previous versions of antispyware had worked fine on all 3 users so there
must be something different in the setup this time around.By the way it
doesnt matter if all 3 users are administrator or limited accounts it only
works on the account that the syware was installed from
