Good evening to all,
I just recently downloaded and installed the Beta version of MS Antispyware.
My standby mode was working properly before the install. Also my screen
saver which I have set to come on first was not starting. I figured it was
because I had the spyware set to automatic and set for real time protection.
I changed that setting in options and shut down the proghram. My screen saver
did kick and and my monitor shut down like I have it set but the computer
will still not go into stand by.

Does any one have any clues?

Thanks for your time!!!!

Hi EastCoast;
There was a problem like that mentioned back in July. Would you take a look at
what version of MSAS you have running and also what signature definitions you
have downloaded, in Help > About Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware:

Here's the latest, I believe.. :)
Microsoft AntiSpyware Version: 1.0.615
This version expires on: 12/31/2005
Spyware Definition Version: 5769 (10/23/2005 8:58:03 AM

Try a File > Check for updates, if you have this version and an older
definition set than 5769.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the reply. I have checked the version and file and they are both
up to date. any other solutions?

Thanks again!!

Hi ECS;
I'm out of ideas for that one... anyone else? Actually, I found this on another
Ms product forum using Copernic desktop search, pretty neat and free program
with more capability than the competition :) and certainly more powerful than
the HTML search or OE Find. So I think I'll cross post it here, just for the
record, (product name removed due to confidentiality)...

Since installing MsXXXXXX, my PC no longer enters standby
mode on its own. Anyone else?

MS AntiSpyware updated itself last night. This morning
my PC was in Standby! Thanks for the suggestions!
