Andre Da Costa said:Steve Dodson did post some very helpful information in
this regard recently in these groups:
There will be an update soon, and, following that at some
point, beta2. There will be a final released version
which will be available to Windows users at no additional
cost. My own guess about when that availability will be
is 4th quarter of 2005--but this is a pure guess--if it
weren't, I wouldn't be able to post it!
-----------------------------
I would say that the expiration issue will be resolved
fairly soon as we
will push forward the timebomb. We are in the final test
pass on the next
release and as soon as we have finished the testing, it
will be broadly
announced. The next version should put a dent in reducing
the following
major issues:
1) July 31 Timebomb
2) LSP breaking.
3) Flying toasts when start bar is docked on the side.
I am real excited that these items will be fixed soon so
we can focus on
finalizing beta 2.

Bill Sanderson said:Andre--In fact, those words are mine, not Steve Dodson.
Because of a poorly composed post of mine, I made it appear that Steve had
written that paragraph, in trying to add some (speculative) information to
a post of his.
In fact, I wrote them, and I'm solely responsible for those
statements--they don't reflect anything Steve Dodson or Microsoft has
stated.
The words below the dotted line, including the information about beta2,
are Steve Dodson's.
So--if you quote this message again, please remove that first paragraph
above the dotted line--that's speculation on my part, and not anything
Steve Dodson or Microsoft has said.
