If you havent used any antispyware program on your system
it can be to overhelmed with these "pests".

Are you using any updated antivirus program ?

When you scan with antispyware programs you also open up
viral files on your PC. This can be a real mess to solve.

I know the MSAS team appreciates the feed back on "beta" software. Have your
tried running scans in safe mode? Also, are you running the latest build
..509? Try installing the software in a non-default location such as C:\MSAS,
although I have read in previous post where persons encountered slow launch
times. I would recommend also doing a disk defrag after scans which will
speed up the launch time of your applications.

I am having the same problem...detects the intruders,
tells me to remove them and then does nothing...what is
this program supposed to do...other than tie up my
computer for hours and then do nothing.

Hi Steph,
Boot into Safe Mode (F8) at startup; Empty your temporary files AND your
Temporary Internet Files C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder ; Run the scan while in safe mode;
If you are running SP2, open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-ons, and uncheck any
BHO's that you don't recognize.
