I downloaded but haven't installed Process Explorer & watched a video where a
Microsoft employee explained how to use it. HUH???

Can you recommend antimalware, antispyware, antirootkit software for
dummies? I didn't understand the video & he really didn't explain to my
satisfaction how to remove antimalware.

I have Adaware & Spybot & Security Essentials installed on my PC. I've
downloaded but not yet installed Spyware Terminator & Superantispyware. I'm
sure that if 10 people respond, there will be 10 different recommendations.
Are there any "favorite" programs? I don't want to delete by accident
software that's masquerading as a legitimate file. That's why I need dummy
software.

Thank you.
David

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

SuperAntiSpyware

There is no such thing as Anti Rookit for dummies. They are complex and hard for even
experts to discern. Their respective scanners are not acsual software and should NOT be
used on a regular basis.

I have the following installed: Spybot, Malwarebytes, Ad aware, Security
Essentials, Superantispyware. I have downloaded but not installed Spyware
Terminator. Only Security Essentials is running in the background, although
I'd like to try the others one at a time.

Is there a website that has a bunch of antispyware(malware) programs that
can be run at the same time?

Thank you.
David

PS. Windows 7 has been out for a while. When will there be a forum for it?

What you have is enough. You may wish to pay for the full version of Malwarebytes' Anti
Malware and its protective mode which will work happily with MSE.

As for for Win7, there are forums for it because Microsoft (in their infinite wisdom)
would not create Usenet nedws groups for it. Since I ONLY use Usenet, I don'y have a HTTP
URL for you.

It is GOOD to see the Microsoft spam filters aren't blocking the posting of the name of
this Alt.* hierarchy group like they do others.
