You Know Who ~

Hi
I have winXP set up as a dual boot system with my old win98 as a second
option. all is working fine, but...
win98 and the boot files are on my old C drive (40 gig drive) while win XP
is on the D drive (130gig). Eventually, I will want to get rid of 98 and
would strongly prefer to make the D drive the main volume. But... will I
still be able to boot up?
Thanks in advance

You would have to copy and paste these files to your D:\ drive. Ntldr,
Ntdetect.com and boot.ini. If they are not visible in C:\ when in
WinExplorer go to Tools>Folder Options>View>click on "Show hidden files and
folders and Uncheck
Hide protected operating system files. From there you can use the Recovery
Console to repair the boot.ini file
When at the command prompt just type: Bootcfg /rebuild For more info
on RC use check here

many thanks,
