Hi, I have recently installed Microsoft Spyware onto my
system and am wondering if I still need to install another
anti virus program (i.e. Norton etc)

Hi

MSAS detects spyware not virus, you must have another
antivirus program.

Follow this:

--------------------------------------------

http://www.microsoft.com/protect

--------------------------------------------

1. Firewall, comes with SP2

2. Windowsupdate.

3. Antivirus program, updated.

(4). Antispyware program

Important you must clean your PC before installing SP2.

Check with TrendMicros Housecall:

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

YES.

Microsoft Antispyware does not substitute for any of the three primary
security "legs" listed here:

http://www.microsoft.com/protect

There are definitely areas of overlap--it's understandable that you find
this confusing--but don't give up antivirus protection.

You must have anti virus as well as and spyware
If you don't you will be infected and send on viruses to
all your contacts. this tends to piss them off somewhat
Norton 2005 is supposed to be the best at the moment
there is a free 14 day trail available if you search for
it
