Hi,I currently use Norton A/V NSW2002 and my subcription
service needs to be renewed in March,Does anyone know if
the search/scanning engine in NSW2002 is becoming
outdated or not?
With all of the posts about NSW2004 I wont be buying
that.Does anyone have experience with the Nod32 A/V
software?
TIA

answere for nod 32,,,I myself run nod32 and found it to be very
efficiant and easy to understand, the only problem I have is that there
is a part of nod32 that slows down your logg off,it takes about 1minute
and 30 seconds sometimes longer.Im trying at the moment to find which
part of nod32 it the problem once i find it will let everyone know, but
otherwise good program. in the meantime if anyone has allready solved
this problem please let me know, would appreciate it,,,,,,,,,bullseye07

Hello,

Have you tried unchecking in AMON the selection,
"Scan boot sectors on" SHUTDOWN?

Just a guess.

Good Luck.

I've been playing with the trial version on my laptop (XP SP2) and
noticed the same 30 second or so delay in shutting down. Guess
it's not just me !

The shut-down delay reported with NOD32 Antivirus can be eliminated:

1) Right-click on the NOD32 icon in the Notification Area.
2) Select "AMON" in the list of modules in the Left-hand pane.
3) Click on the "Setup" icon in the Right-hand pane.
4) Un-check "Shutdown" in the "Scan boot sectors" section.
5) Click on "Ok".

Ah, that makes sense. I had not looked into the issue when
you posted your question, but that would make sense - especially
since I had noticed more disk activity than normal on shutdown.
Thanks for the info.
