For those of you who - like me - give the german version of Vista
a testdrive I can report that AVK (AntiVirenKit 2005) seems to
(install and) work fine. It reports both engines (BitDefender and
Kaspersky Anti Virus) to be active and downloads its updates
with no apparent problem. Anyway, Vista doesen't recognize the
program so you still get the warning that your computer might be
at risk.

Question: it seems save just to ignore that message. What do you
think and should I file a report to Microsoft also?

Sorry, that should have read "safe", of course... I was thinking about
the "save file-problem" for files I tried to download (that somehow solved
itself it seems).

Thanks. Is it kinda required (for safety reasons) to have the
AV-software being recognized by Vista?
