Was willing to give MS a chance with their anti spyware.
Was having NO PROBLEMS with my XP system. Downloaded the
beta anti spyware and installed it per instructions. System
froze up at completion of install. Would not do anything.
Had to do a power off and then system gave a keyboard
failure and black screen. Repeated attempts at restart were
NG. Did a safe boot and did a system restore to a point
just before installing the software. Took 2 restores to
completly get my system back to what it was before
installing this unsupported junk. Another example of Micro
Soft BS and even more reason to fo to Firefox and stay
there. Never again with Micro Soft.

You may notice on further inspection that the product is quite clearly
labelled "AntiSpyware Beta1".

Apart from it being common sense that the use of beta software should be
restricted to a test environment, I believe that on several occasions from
downloading the software to installing it, one is reminded of this.

That being said, I am honestly sorry to hear you had such serious problems
with it.

It clearly states: This is pre-release (beta) software distributed for
feedback and testing purposes. Microsoft does not provide technical support
for beta releases (see below for information about how to gain access to
newsgroups). If Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) is causing an issue with your
system, we recommend removing it by using Add or Remove Programs and even
using System Restore if the problem persists.

I am also sorry to hear you had problems with it.

A BIOS keyboard failure error? That happens before any OS
code is loaded!

TWO restores? Why two? If this truly was a problem with
the Anti-spyware installation, one should have sufficed.
Sounds to me you have something else going on that was only
aggrevated by your most recent install.
