Installed Microsoft Anti-Spyware to try and get around
some spyware/malware issues. After cleaning the system, I
noticed that IE's content advisor was somehow enabled. Now
I have a password hint of "food" and no idea what the
password is. Anyone know how to reset this?

Since Microsoft was so kind to hang up on me when I
called, I sleuthed for my own answer:

Select Start, Run, type regedit, and click OK. Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratings. Next, click the Key entry
in the right pane, and press Delete. Exit the Registry and
restart your PC.

Why it was triggered in the first place? No idea.

I'm tempted to uninstall IE completely and use only
Mozilla or Opera. Who has time for this???!

Googling for this one is the best way to find the answer. It's a very
popular question, and many who know the answer don't want to answer it
online because we can't verify that you aren't a 12 year old.

Tell me how many 12 year olds know how to do registry
editing safely. I know several very smart, and very
computer savvy 12 year olds as part of my PC consulting
business and it is not a common thing. Also, how many
12-year-olds do you know that work for travel agencies?

Registry editing is not, in the simple actions required, very different from
other editing. I suspect some 12 year-olds would be better at it than an
older person who believes that they know what they are doing......

I didn't really believe that Christine was 12 years old--but many posts
asking this question could easily have been written by a 12-year old, and
the answers will live on and be googlable by them for years to come.
