When I try to use the Advanced Tools to clear IE history,
Anti-Spyware hangs up and I have to use Task Manager to
shut it down. (The same thing also happens if I try to
clear the history through Internet Options.)

Any advice? (Other than buying an Mac mini, which is a real
possibility at this point, but that's another story.)

I'd avoid the Mac mini--or at least read some about it before taking the
plunge. It really isn't that cheap--you need a monitor, and there appear to
be some limitations to it. I've seen a post indicating that although the
Remote Desktop Connection software Microsoft publishes for the Mac runs on
it, it can only maintain a single session, not multiple sessions, as it can
on other Mac platforms. This leads me to believe there are some intentional
limitations that are worth studying before you spend the bucks. (Also,
fwiw, the OS CD from a Mac Mini won't even be acknowledged when inserted in
an Ibook, for example--as a neighbor demonstrated to me the other day)
