I had this happen as well one one computer but never figured out why. All
of the resident protections were up and running. When I eventually rebooted
it was back to the red one. Go figure.

Does anyone know why the icon would change to a blue color?
.
Yes, if you log on to the console with Terminal Services,
the icon will change to shades of blue. It's a
TS "feature", I guess.

I think also that the pop up's from antispyware are color
coded. I had an orange one when my startup page tried to
change

I was wondering the same thing. I terminal server into my
XP workstation from home every evening. When I come in
the next day, the icon is blue even though I am logging in
through the console. I just exit the antispyware and
restart it. Then the icon returns to normal. I was
worried that it was disabled when blue. Now I know what
is going on.

FYI - I was going to add this newsgroup to my regular
USENET groups, but it's private so I can't. I think I can
use the MS server to get the private groups, but that's
too much hassle. Anyway, I wish we could search these
posts since it took me a hour to find this information.
