My PC now consumes 50W less and about 4 degree Celsius cooler....

Interesting. Early last year I bought the parts for a new build; there was
a Seasonic S12 330W PSU for that.
My old system had a 4 year old 350W Antec in and drew 105W on idle. Just
out of curiosity I fitted the new PSU and the draw dropped to about 90W.
The new system draws 45W!
I think the new ones are 85% efficient in real life, the old ones
70-75% efficient. So unless your computer used to draw 333 watts,
which is really high (Xbit Labs test):
I think something else is responsible for the 50W reduction in
consumption.
And by replacing the TruePower 2.0 with the TruePower New, your
computer is no longer at the risk of awful Fuhjyyu and capacitors (and
maybe a Koshin one between the heatsinks that's known to blow and
disable the +5V standby circuit, meaning the PSU can't turn on).
