Is there a big difference in the noise level of this case if
you install and run the two fans?

I can't say that the 120mm fans provided by Antec are silent, but I have a
CoolerMaster case with a pair of 120mm fans. The PC is SILENT (unless I'm
gaming, then the video card fan winds up)

You want SLOW 120mm fans, so they move some air, but aren't audible. If your
fans aren't slow enough, you can do the 7 volt mod, or install a speed
controller.

The Sonata II has a 120mm three speed fan, with a mini switch to
set it at 2000 RPM or 1600 RPM or 1200 RPM.

The fans in the air duct are 80mm (over the vid card(s) ) and a 92mm
over the CPU area. I will probably be putting a fan controller on those.

If anyone is following this, I ended up removing the fans I had
installed in the Air Guide.

I found another odd sound related issue with this case; when
I close the door over the drives and switches, all the way there
is a resonance setup by the air being drawn in around the door.
The noise disappears if I leave the door open about a 1/2 inch.

This is a great case though, and the power supply with two 12v
rails is very stable.
