Antec 550W UK vs. US?

I am talking more about the internal workings, the voltages and
rails...does the UK electrical system differ that vastly to the US that
you must buy a UK version of this power supply?

According to their specs, there's very likely no difference between the two
models other than the AC power cord. You could always write Antec, just to
be sure.

The UK is 240volts @ 50Hz and the US is (I think) 110volts @ 60Hz - so
yes, there is a big difference. Unless the PSU is specified as being
able to work with both voltages then it probably can't.
