Hahaha ! :-)

Yep... nuthin' beats "Last (System) Resort" when adequate safeguards aren't
taken.

Meanwhile, if one looks quickly at the response from the OP it looks like
"Thank you but I can't open my Trouser..." <bg> Must get a better tailor or
seamstress. They don't make zippers like they used to. <vbg>

Ok, thank you so much, but I guess i don't really know what you are saying.

I'm not a pro but the problem occured as I was trying to download from a web
site, I was prompted by the system that this may no be a safe download and I
just "nexted" my way through and I think I just reset something.

I have Norton, Firewall, etc., I think the browser erred and exerything is
fine now, God bless "System Reset"...

In all likelihood AdBlaster (and who knows what else) was residing in the
System Restore point he chose so he's not outta the woods just yet.

Ah, for the days of Plug 'n Play and Scanreg/restore...

Hi Roger -

I didn't mean anything by it. Just a little light ribbing of a sort. :-)
Many can tell you I'm not an expert either. In fact, you needn't be an
expert to determine that. :-D

Anyway, please accept my apologies if I have been too "funny" in fooling
around here.

Well I do hope for the best. Besides, it is truly a case of live and
(hopefully) learn. "So much to learn..., so little time". <s>
Meanwhile, I've only had modest success with Scanreg /Restore. :-| It seems
I will lose programs from the Add/Remove list although the programs still
exist, work, and were not installed within the date of the Registry which I
restored to. In view of that, and the 50% chance that I'll get a "Restore
failed", I try to avoid the circumstances which might force me to use it.
