Answer to XP Slowdown

I experienced a sudden and dramatic slowdown yesterday with Win XP Pro and noticed similar postings at this site. I deactivated my real time antivirus scanner which fixed the problem immediately. I'm using SystemSuite 4's antivirus software which I believe is a Micro Trend product. They have been updating their definition file almost on a daily basis. Hope this helps.
