I posted a question about a problem I was having with my header and page
numbers. I got a reply that someone had answered from (e-mail address removed).
When I clicked the link I got an empty screen. I appreciate my question
being answered, but I am unable to access the answer.

I looked under threads for headers, but my question which I submitted
October 4 didn't seem to be there. Can someone advise me? Thank you.

How are you accessing the newsgroups? I see two replies to your October 4th
question about headers--one from Suzanne Barnhill and the other from someone
named Matthew.

The default header formatting is set up so that if you do the following:

Type first something <press tab key twice>Type second something

Then the first something will be flush left, and the second something will
be flush right.

If what you are typing is overwriting what's there, then you are in overtype
mode. You can [usually] press the Insert key to toggle between Insert and
Overtype modes.

I had a hard type accessing your reply also. When I clicked the link in the
email, I got a blank screen. The problem I had with your suggestion is that
I got a number 1 on every page instead of consequetive page numbers.

That would be because you are typing the page number instead of inserting a
PAGE field using Insert Page Number.
