I am currently deploying Outlook 2002 to various
workstations on my windows 2000 domain. The deployment is
happening correctly but once thye user loggs on to the
network the installation propmts for the product key
number and user ID and Company. How can I create an answer
file to avoid this so the user can use the application as
soon as he/she loggs on? The deployment is under computer
configuration and is assigned.

Thanks

You need to create an administrative installtion point from your
original media. To do this run msiexec /a pathtoyourmsifile.msi. You
will then be prompted to for product key, company, accept license
agreement and for a share to store the administrative installation.
Any installs performed from that administrative installation will
include the product key that you specified. You can also futher
customize Outlook options by using the Office Customization Wizard to
create a transform. The Office Customization Wizard is part of the
Office Resource Kit. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.
