I am trying to create a presentation using Ppt 2007 where the sound is to be
played on all slides except the last one which is a dvd presentation with its
own sound.

So play sound which is a link to a radio station across all slides except
last, fine, then dvd presentation plays fine..

then loop to start to kick the radio in again, a single click is heard, then
nothing.

I guess the link to the radio is still active somewhere within the
presentation and cannot be called agan!!

I have looked at other recent suggestions here but their solutions do not
seem to help me.

Any ideas please ?

Try putting a blank slide with zero timings/transitions before the one with your radio station link, and link back to it and see what happens

Thanks for your help Michael, I have tried both linking to a new ´previous
slide´ and also made a one slide external presentation. No Luck.

I still have the same problem.

I can switch on and off the link as many times as I wish to during the
presentation, but when it comes to the loop command and going from the top
again, no joy, all references to the link are ignored.

I have a Windows Media Player slide showing animations now on this, my new
test presentation, great the first time round but just idles after the loop
giving a very slow display indicating the fact there is no music input.

Any further ideas please?

How is the radio station link activated initially? I personally have never
heard of linking to a radio station for back ground music is it a web site?

It a link to the radio station that the company owns, the file has the
extension .asx

Thankyou for your interest.

AFAIK, the purpose of an ASX file is to start the ASF file streaming. I
don't know how they interact with PowerPoint. Sorry that I'm not much help.
