another scheduler problem

Michael

I hope this hasn't been discussed already - MS disabled
the search function on the newsgroup so I can't tell.
Antispyware does not seem able to wake my laptop from
standby to perform a scheduled scan at 3 am. Spybot can
do this, as can my Norton Antivirus. Part of the problem
is that when I schedule a spyware scan, it doesn't appear
in the scheduled tasks, so I can't take advantage of the
additional features vis-a-vis laptops and power
management.

If anyone knows how to accomplish a scan on a laptop in
standby, I'd appreciate your assistance. Thanks.

Yeah, I feel your pain when it comes to the 'temporarily'
disabled Communities Search function - so excuse me whilst
I post a follow-up to the above -

Tried the product when it first came out and as it
found/cleaned/protected nothing extra over what Ad-Aware,
Spybot, SpywareBlaster and CrapCleaner were already doing -
and it seemed a bit convoluted to control, I removed it.

Hearing of the ongoing improvements, I decided to give it
another go. Still finds zip, still convoluted and still -
if you alter the automated scan time beyond 9am - it sets
the time at 112 o'clock. Okay, I'll allow for
some 'hidden' improvements, but hey, they can't fix
something as basic as the scan time?

Small wonder Michael above wants to be able to access his
scan at night....

Baz- the improvements have been largely behind the scenes, so far. Wait for
Beta2 to see "visible" changes, I think.

Related to your scheduling issues, has anyone else had
the issue where if you set the scan to run at noon and
then hit the update schedule button it sets it back to
run at midnight? It updates it just fine if I set it to
run at 11:59 AM but not at noon. And when I tried to set
it at 12:01 PM it said it was set for 12:1 PM. Any
suggestions
