My recycle bin has a "hidden" attribute, so I
consequently cannot see any of the files I send to it
(makes it difficult to restore if a file is deleted by
mistake!!!) I have tried to make all files/folders "un-
hidden" but this does not work....any ideas? ( and
please...I am a basic user...plain-speak please!!!)

Suttonman,

This may be due to the corrupt info2 file and not due to file attributes.

IMPORTANT: All the files deleted previously [present in the R.Bin] will be erased permanently.

Create a dummy notepad document and save it. Delete the file and let it go to recycle bin. Now, empty recycle-bin

Solution 2: You may want to delete the Recycled folder or follow Kelly's method. (Deleting the info2 file). You may need to restart Windows after that.
