There are plenty of posts indicating that if you get a message that another
program is trying to access your Outlook Address book, well basically blame
SP3. There is however a good reason I cannot blame that, I haven't installed
SP1, 2 or 3 having just rebuilt this PC!

I actually got the message when replying to another post when I was using
Outlook Express. I clicked Reply instead of Reply Group. I have Outlook
Express set up to share the Outlook address book using a method described on
the www.slipstick.com site. Also it only occurs if you hit Reply to a
newsgroup posting. Hit Reply to an email and there's no warning!

I am using Office XP on Windows XP. I appreciate the problem is occurring in
OE but it also involves Outlook so posting here first.

It is not a major problem but I am curious as to whether anyone knows the
answer.

This is normal behavior in Office 2000 SP2 and later versions, as annoying
as it is. OE is the program trying to access an address book feature.
