Having sometime to blow over the holidays, and some brand
new Linksys wireless networking adaptars running at
802.11g, I decided to create a home network among three
computers(two with xp and one with me). Thinking this
would be a simple task, I loaded all the hardware and
software needed to make all the connections. I than ran
the handy dandy networking wizard on all three of the
computers and waaalaaa I had a network, except it decided
not to stay a network but rather to confuse me by working
for a little while, sharing both internet connection and
files, and than acting as if it never existed. Actually
the little computer icons in the task bar menu still show
that the computers "see each other" but when going to my
network places and trying to actually see the other
computer and it sharable files, it cant be done. What is
so confusing to me is that at one point it was working
which seems to indicate all of my configurations would
have been accruate, but now :( Help anyone

I dont know if it will apply in your case too, but try removing any network
bridge connections on your xp machines. Make a note of what was connected to
what beforehand so you can replace them if necessary.
