Another little problem with ATI RADEON 9000

My desktop brightness is quite good. However, when
I exit from a game like MOHAA, the screen brightness
is much less. I found that it restores when I Rclick on
the desktop to bring up the video settings, and go to
advanced .. color. When I click on color, the brightness
restores. Is there a setting in the ATI software that
will restore the desktop brightness automatically?

did you uninstall the Matrox drivers thoroughly ?
make sure the old drivers are gone before you install the new card. to tweak
brightness/gamma use rage3d's tweak program. the drivers have hotkeys but
that function in the drivers has been broken for ages so now you need a 3rd
party program. and use the 3.7s - best driver for ATI budget cards.

I don't know. I did use the Matrox uninstaller from their
site. I could prowl the registry and see. Hmm, as a matter
of fact I probably ought to let Regclean have a look too.
