ANOTHER frustrated MM shutdown victim

Hi there
I have followed a thread here about MM shutting down immediately after
opening - searching for a solution as well. I am on XP, have just reinstalled
SP2 and uninstalled IE7. I have had 2 years of blissful trouble free movies
with MM so I am tearing my hair out. Any simple solutions out there for an
average PC user???

If this was a recent occurrence...it may be worth
a try to do a system restore to a time before it began.
